Oh, it's a real knee-slapper, friend, if you consider California Penal Code section 4A, 4207A, 597 and 217 Assault and battery, Atomic Wedgie in the 3rd degree and Murder something to laugh about. My partner and I witnessed the aftermath of that little torch light fun and games fight you had last night, we're gonna put you where your kind always ends up - in a seven by seven foot grey-green metal cage in the fifteenth floor of some hundred-year-old penitentiary, with damp, stinking walls and a wooden plank for a bed. Sure, this city isn't perfect, we need a atomic wedgie free life for all of our citizens; cleaner streets, better schools, and good hockey team. But the big difference between you and me, mister, is you made the promise, and I'm going to keep it.

It would appear to me that "somebody" needs to get a J-O-B and have something better to do with their time. I guess they will have a job now, though. Stamping out license plates.

Did you know Jack Webb was a huge Jazz fan? He had over 6000 jazz LPs and he even met his first wife through Jazz. He met a jazz singer whose name was Gayle Peck, You may know her better as Julie London or as Nurse Dixie from Emergency. She later married Jazz band leader Bobby Troup who became Dr Joe Early on Emergency as well. They were hired for Emergency by none other than Jack Webb. I always liked those two shows.

Webb not only met, but married London. With the exception of his last series, he had a magic touch in being able to put together popular programming. Dragnet, Adam-12 and Emergency! are still among the most profitable syndicated shows. One other thing Jazzy about Emergency!. Webb had Billy May compose the theme. If you don't know the name, look it up, it's worth it.

I think they had two kids. As far as May I have almost got lucky finding Billy May records. A couple of times out looking for records I have found a couple of his but they have been scratched beyond use. I have found a few others like Al Hurt and Jonas Jones from the 50s and 60s. If I see someone I am not familiar with and its cheap enough I will get it. Thats how I got into Jonas Jones. My favorite music I listen to right now is the Billy May,Jones, Martin Denny, Percy Faith type music. After dealing with work and the stress from it that type of music is great to listen to driving home for over an hour.

You might also look into the albums of live performances by Glenn Miller and his Orchestra.  May was the featured trumpeter with the band. he also did several great compositions and arrangements with the band.

Willy, you might add Ray Conniff and Roger Williams to your "soothing" music list. Ray Conniff did TV and movie work also.

I might have some Conniff and Williams records. In the last 6 months I have picked up probably picked up between 100 and 200 records. A large sum were 25 cents each. I have been hitting thrift stores and antique malls. Believe it or not I got a bunch of 25 cent records at a antique mall. So I have so many I haven't even heard yet. I even found some of Bob Newharts first albums. I had been looking for a original Judy in Diguise record by John Fred to go with my Gold Record I have of it. I finally found one in a mall for a buck. I had been looking for one for 25 years. It was higher than the gold record, I got it for 25 cents at a yard sale in the 80s. Not bad for a original gold record awarded in the 60s. You never know what you will find in junk stores, thrift shops and yard sales in Nashville.
