Re: aface4radio
I had wondered what became of aface4radios. I enjoyed his posts and his enthusiasm for the hobby. If doing your own repairs becomes a qualification to post I'm in trouble. I've never repaired a radio. I hope to soon, but haven't yet. I thought a common love or enjoyment of old tube type radios was our reason for meeting here or on the ARF.

Re: aface4radio
I believe this same question came up on ARF a couple of months ago.
Although there may have been conflicts with some members, someone had replied there was a family illness that required aface's attention.

Re: aface4radio
To be honest I don't really care what an argument might have been about, if this was the problem.
As for people who tinker with radios, some of us spend our spare time working on them, some of us do it as a business, while others simply wish to sit back and enjoy listening to them. There is room in the hobby for all of us. Sure, I will always encourage one to learn what a radio is all about, and start restoring them, but it's certainly not mandatory.

I remember him leaving shortly after I "busted" on him with his own "heading off to ebay, are you?" when he posted about a collectible pencil sharpener he acquired and inquired about. We did have a good laugh about it and I don't think it was that. Others seemed to dislike his continious postings but I simply glossed over them.
