Coronado 777 dial drive disk needed

Post by n0bst on Sat Feb 28, 2015 11:39 am

I was wondering if anyone knew where I could get a reproduction dial drive disk for a Coronado 777. It's made from translucent plastic and goes between the dial lights and the dial itself. It's 5" OD and has a 3/8" diameter hole in the center where it attaches to the tuning cap shaft. The outer edge goes between a set of friction drive disks on the tuning knob shaft. Thickness of the plastic was measured at 16 mil, though I suppose anything from 15-20 mil would work. My hands aren't quite steady enough to try making one freehand.

Thanks,

Scott Todd

Ouch. While some dials are made, I don't know who, or, if this is one of them. Have you tried looking on ebay??

Found a guy in GA who does plastic dial covers who also has done a few drives. I'm going to tap him for a replacement. I might have to spray coat the disk as he only has clear plastic, but that's a trivial matter.
