It was down Sunday, and is down again today. Maybe he'll get it all transferred over this time.

Please guys don't jump to conclusions. None of us know what Alan is doing at any exact moment. He was gracious enough to put the old server back on line so that we could get our "fix". My suggestion would be to sit back, enjoy this site now and in the future and don't second guess!!!

An explanation from Alan as to what is going on would be courteous, anything longer than a day for a server move is excessive, unless the server is being moved across the country. The old site should be left up until the actual physical move. Like I said, it would be nice to hear from Alan

Dave,

You are entirely too impatient and expect a lot. Why don't you just chill and wait for it to be complete. I just don't understand all of this griping. Get a grip! It isn't like it is costing you $$$$ every minute...

I have other things to do besides arf...like work on radios. Hold on folks. Alan said he had Steven Speilberg doing the work for him so were in good hands.

Don

I am not impatient, there are many of good forums on the net. If ARF is down for a few days or a few weeks really doesn't make that much difference at this point. Like I previously said, a little communication would go a long way. Just stating a few facts.

Dave,

I just don't understand all of the constant complaints. But we are entitled to our opinions...

Don

I am not complaining. You seem to feel that everyone that makes a post about ARF is complaining, that is not the case, many such as myself are just stating facts.

Well, stating facts as considered by one person, and another thinking it is complaining is just a difference of opinions. Why not just drop it and move on?

I don't know if it's complaining or not but we're creatures of habit and when things change our daily routine, I believe it's normal to become disappointed. Let's say we enjoy working in our gardens on weekends. If it rains, we're disappointed. Should we drive our normal route to work and there's construction, we become frustrated.
I think it's a point well taken that perhaps Allen could give us an update or appoint someone to give the updates. After all, hundreds of folks use and enjoy his site every day.
We can check the weather report and make other plans, we can watch the news and plan an alternate route if construction will cause traffic. I believe that not knowing is the cause frustration. Had I bought flowers to plant without knowing it was going to rain, or if there had been no mention of construction in a traffic report and I sat in stop-and-go traffic, I'd probably complain. -Just my opinion.
Personally, I like this site much better

I don't think anyone is complaining....unless it's complaining about the complaining. Very Happy

It's just guys making "small talk," like we sometimes do about the weather. "Think it's gonna rain today?" "Well it might." "But then it might not." "Yeah, you never know."

"I see ARF is down again." "Yup. Wonder when it'll be back up." "Maybe today." "Yeah, or maybe tomorrow." "Yeah, maybe." Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy
