If I ever do, they will be in pieces, or someone elses. Very Happy

Me too WC. I have way too many that i'll never get around to fixing and they are taking up way too much room. Some TV's along with some radio/phono combo's are leaving also. I plan on moving soon and they are not coming with me.

It's ironic that they put some mighty cheap units in those catalin duds and just their housings have made them some of the most expensive units out there.

I have one catalin radio, a Fada Bullet. I know a fellow who picked up a Air King skyscraper for three bucks. He isn't into the older tube radios, he is into newer stereo stuff. I don't have as many catalin radios but I bet I have him beat on number of radios. I have at least 300 to 500 of them. I think I need to count them to get an exact number. I have restored 20 to 30 of my radios since I got my shop in the house done. I may not get them all fixed but I am having a heck of a time trying to fix them.

Since I like to play my radios, once I repair one I'm happy listening to it for the next few months... Last year I did the two Warcos, the mini Montgomery Wards, modded the Mantola Farm set and a Heathkit AC set(that would bite the Hell out of me for no apparent reason)... That's five plus there was a Crystaliner signal generator... Since usually I don't fix more than two or three per year, I'm gonna mostly coast this year and spend some time at the drag strip before I'm too old to race and enjoy myself... I may play a bit with the 32v Tater(L'Tatro) I bought back just before Christmas...

Oh yeah the Heath with teeth??? Ground on filter cap was poorly soldered by previous owner, brush against it just the right way and all the bad words would come spewing forth... B+ in that thing is close to 400v... Shocked

Nice to hear from you again, Tom!

Your Heathkit set was acting like a fence charger rather than a radio.

Tony V, you should let me know what you might be selling, I'm only a few miles from you.
