Re Repair Follies
Re Repair Follies
At work this evening I got a portable radio that would not transmit. After opening the unit, I found corrosion all around the antenna connector. The unit would put out .26 watts out of an expected 3.38 watts. I removed the connector from the main board and it looked like some renaissance man put it on with plumbers' acid flux. Nice treatment for a radio that cost as much as a passable used car. I at least put a new connector on and cleaned up the area. At least it doesn't look like Red Green did the last repair.

Isn't there a wise saying by an equally wise person that goes something like we may not have time to do it right the first time, but we always have time to do it again?

I like that. My grandpa always said that I was often in error, but seldom in doubt.

My grandfather seldom swore so he didn't say too much about me. :-)

Re: Re Repair Follies
We should start a thread about Grandfather's wisdom. I had the most fantastic grandpa in history. Two of them, in fact. I was truly blessed in that area, among lots of others.
