I e mailed them my phone number, and, tonight, she called me, and, we had a long talk. I bought it. I will be paying for it tomorrow morning over the phone to the antique store she has it in. She will pick it up, and,, start packing it for shipping. I gave both her, and, her husband a number of warnings on how to properly pack, and, ship it. It's in Tennessee.
I'm so excited to get it!! Thank you very much for finding it for me......
God bless you!!!!!

It's an early Edison Diamond Disc phonograph made approx. 1913-1914. It plays vertically recorded quarter inch Edison Diamond Disc Records at 80 rpm.
It uses a special Diamond tipped needle.
Different models were made as late as 1928, but these earlier machines were primitive beginnings into the disc business by the Edison company. Edison hated the disc. He preferred cylinders over discs. Personally, cylinders are also my favorite, but, I own three Edison disc machines now. This one will be number four.
The earliest rare one was also made about that time, though slightly later. That's the A 150 I restored in 2013. I have a thread with pictures of it here. Also, an early video of it playing a record.

It came!!!! Today, the last of three packages arrived safely.
Six records in one box, the reproducer, and, grill in second box, and, the machine in last box arrived this morning.
It's un packed.. I played a record on it. Looks.. The case is dirty, a little alligatored, a few light scratches, but, is very restorable. I can still see some of the gloss in the finnish, and, in a number of places, the grain of the wood. I think a good cleaning, and, waxing should have it looking very nice. The crank, and, speed control are rusty. Oh, well. The motor has almost no noise at all..
Reproducer is nearly mint, and, needle is perfect. It's a might sluggish, and, slow, but, I think cleaning, lubing, and, adjusting should take care of that.....
I'm already happy I have it.

Found out yesterday it's got a couple of bugs, but, adjustments should fix that. I have it apart for that now... I also oiled motor last night.

Shortly after arrival the half nut started skipping on feed screw. I found out spring that pushes down on half nut bar was broken, and, jury rigged to work. It didn't last. About three months ago I bought replacement parts for it from George Veloma in Michigan.
I haven't installed them yet, and, motor is also very gummy, causing it to vary speed on it's own.
I recently bought 47 Diamond Disc records, and, am adding about 25 of them to this machine. I'll let you know when I'm back on it......
