Really weird Zenith I got

I posted this awhile ago on ARF that I saw this on Epay-I Esniped it and here it is: (click on thumbs to enlarge)

After juryrigging some broken wires to the rattletrap electrolytic, even with the shot to xx speaker, it works and sounds good!

Does anyone have any info on this? I'm really curious. No model # as tube layout sticker is missing on bottom.

And if anyone has the two cosmetic brights that trim the knob holes, I'd be eternally grateful!! Or I'll take a junker J615 off your hands for the parts.

Let me know your comments/ideas!

3 Band. AM, early FM, and, SW. I'd call this a very un usual set. I'd say save it.

Here is mine it is an R615W- assuming the W is for white.
Mine has a black tar drip between the "E" and "N" of Zenith. That is why I never opened her up. Figured it was a mess. After hearing of your success I'm tempted to peak inside!

Nope-this set only shares the same cab as the 615. Different guts altogether.

The black stuff BTW is the rubber speaker gasket that has melted, probably due to the set being stored in an attic. These are really good sounding radios and good DX'ers. I have all the colors except the black and white.

...perhaps an 'export' model? Any signs of multiple line voltage capability (i. e. 110/220 VAC)?...
