Putting up the Christmas Diodes

Post by 75X11 on Sat Nov 29, 2014 8:15 pm

I always try to put up the lights on Thanksgiving weekend.  The Holly bushes even contribute their berries to the decoration.

We started that project here today. I'm glad we only have to do that once a year. The frau put her train set on top of my Imperial, since the top is flat. Goody.

I hope it is a melt resistant train set, A flattened railroad would be a rotten vinyl top!

This is a goofy little train that plays Christmas songs. She has it set on a folded blanket, then one of those glittery doodads that she sets under anything at Christmas time. The only damage it will do to the Imperial is to its reputation, if you get my drift. Rolling Eyes

That little train has flashing lights and a remote control.  You can hear the same six obnoxious Christmas songs, in any order desired, played by an IC chassis about the size of a book of matches, played thru a one inch ultra-cheap speaker.  "Wunnerful, wunnerful!"

But, hey, it's Christmas time. It only comes once a year, and the frau looks forward to decorating and digging all this stuff out and playing with it. She puts up with me, so this is the least I can do. I just keep my trap shut and stay out of the way. I will let her know, 75 that you do a great job of outside light stringing.
