Oh my Bill, the worse that has been reported! Well if you don't have to drive much, not a big deal. We drive between Northern AZ and So. Cal. every couple of months. It does add up even at 45 MPG.

The frau just informed me that, with her Fry's card, she can get gas for $1.35. SHE can go fill up the Tahoe then. I would hate to be accused of overpaying! Very Happy

We do not have a Sam's club around here that has gas. I have a membership.

My Shell up at the corner had their ten cents off today for regular so was $1.97, plus I hijacked some of my daughters Kroger points and paid $1.87 which is as cheap as I've been able to buy it... Actually filled the truck for less than $50(OK $49)...

I prefer Shell or BP over most other gas brands as they are Top Tier, which means they have extra cleaning additives that many std fuels do not have...

I buy Valero because it is the cheapest. Everyone has raised their prices 10 cents in honor of the opportunity to gouge for the Super Bowl. Circle K has held the line, and I gave them my business this very afternoon for $1.73. Most other places are $1.77 to $1.87. Chevron is always the most expensive, followed by Shell.

I only buy at Sam's and Costco. Gas is a primary reason I keep memberships with them. As an added bonus, I don't have to contend with the eeftee geftee's trying to pick their brand of cigareets from the cigareet wall nor do I have to wait on them that has to pick their nummers for the day.

No bigee I pay at pump with a credit card, no reader no sale for me... Wife often buys gas at Sams but I rarely go near the place...

I dunno what's going on up at the corner, 7-11 & BP lowered their gas to $1.98 from $2.03, while the Shell raised their price to $2.09...

The frau just got home from grocery shopping. She had to pay $1.89 for gas and is mad as a wet hornet. It is raining in the Valley of the Sun and she had to pump gas. The gas prices are up about 20 cents a gallon in honor of the Super Bowl.

Here we are griping about $1.89, when last year we would have celebrated at $2.89.  They talk about how much money the Super Bowl brings into the Valley, but grocery prices and gas prices always go up huge amounts. Rolling Eyes

I think this is the first holiday season since Reagan was president that the gas prices didn't go up.

That's the way I see it too. I don't want to wait while the person in front of me is fooling with smokes or lottery tickets!

The high-priced Shell station has raised its prices to $2.07 in order to get "the biggest gouger" award, I guess. The Valero right across the street from the Shell station is still $1.75. The Shell station had more cars Than the Valero did when I drove by. They can take their Stupor Bowl and their high prices and shove it.
