I promised Doc Radio

Post by Wildcat445 on Sun Nov 16, 2014 12:47 am

I promised Doc Radio some pictures of some of that junk I got from an estate last summer.  I hope you can identify some of this stuff.  Maybe someone can use some of this.

I'm spying those transistors WC Wink

Those door-knob style germaniums may work in some of my projects...

I think you mentioned transistors a while back, Doc.  PM sent.

In the second picture from the top, notice that octal tube socket.  That thing is set up for a full-wave solid state rectifier, wired in a 5Y3/5U4 configuration.

What is that tube used for? Transmitting, maybe?

Military ham tube 4e27. The other transistors that are gold look to be from the 60s I think. Some of them look like the ones in 60s era delco am radios. But the delco transistors were not gold plated. Mu guess this person was into making and designing linear amps for transmitting ham radios.
