Does anybody have building instructions for an ark?

Post by Wildcat445 on Wed Oct 08, 2014 9:55 pm

The weatherman says we are gonna get up to 5" of rain here the next couple days and a possiblility of up to another 7" next week.  All from that hurricane that blew up from the Baja and went thru AZ.  I see on TV where they got .75" in Tucson and almost floated the whole place away.  The moisture from the Southwest is colliding with humid air from the Gulf.  You guys out East may get some of this next week.  The farmers will all be sitting in the coffee shops next week complaining how the ground is too wet to combine, just like they are sitting in coffee shops this week complaining how the corn is too wet to combine.  Some guys are never happy.   Rolling Eyes

I remember the rains in Tuscon. There 1 inch of rain is a flood ,here its a average rainy day. It is so dry here I hammered a fence post in the ground and I wondered if I hit a sinkhole. It would go down 3 or 4 inches at a time without trying. The ground is so dried out now here. Normally a fence post would take 5 to 10 hits to go 4 inches.

It's raining here now. Big drops falling straight down. The weatherman says it is to rain all day like that.

Just don't get froggy and to try to ford any rapids with your vehicle. Let someone else get on the evening news.

It's been raining like a cow peeing on a flat rock all day. My rain gauge says 3.6 inches. There is not water running in the ditches, though. It is all soaking in. We could stand a shower, but we don't need all they are forecasting. We are not quite to the "fording" stage just yet.

A friend who lives about 15 miles NW of here called and talked to the frau a few minutes ago. He claims he got over 4 1/2 inches at his place.

I lived out in Utah when they had the severe flooding during the early 80's. Hope things get nowhere near like that.
