Well the wife says she found one you never see??? a "victrola" shaped like a grand piano. Fern-O-Grand
It needs total restoration, a hand crank mechanism..but that electrified one just might be what I need for my Crosley 77B console! another project! geez!

If you get the chance to see The Great Gatsby ( The one with Farrow and Redford) you can see one that matches that description in Gatsby's house.

I would not remove the motor. Several companies mad victrola style machines that were shaped like a grand piano, including Columbia, and, they are all very rare, and, somewhat valuable.

I guess I wasn't clear, the hand crank mechanism is gone, but it appears to be a rather common plain jane player that goes in it.
The electric one in there just might be the right era? for the Crosley Arbiter 77b, it was electric. I probably have 5-10 extra hand crank mechanism. I buy the worst looking players just for parts. you could get them for 25-50 cents. I was saving them from the trash.
