That is interesting.
Now...if they can settle on a standard quick change battery bank for electric cars that can be exchanged at a roadside station in a few minutes like we exchange propane cylinders, there will be no more need to charge an electric car for 8 hours every 100 miles or so. Maybe DeWalt, the power tool makers, should make an electric car(?) Wink

That is an interesting article.  The list made me think of doing battery searches in the early '70s from the distributor catalogs such as Newark.  It seems like they had a battery to fit any available remaining space in a electronic cabinet, with any type of connection mechanism and at every possible voltage rating.  And maybe 1 sample line illustration to cover 20 to 30 different size batteries per configuration.  Now we have the internet to look them up and hardly any of the old varieties of the non standard and combo packs.
