I have an old fashioned flip style TracFone. Its not text friendly so I don't text. Not that I would anyway. A phone is just that...made for talking not reading.

It's texting or driving. They are mutually exclusive.

I about got creamed after work today. A "lady" (I'm using the quotes as I'd prefer to use stronger language), didn't stop at a STOP sign until she was about 1/2 way into the intersection, yup, TEXTING/TALKING--good thing I WAS watching for the both of us!

To make matters worse, after I waived her to go first (ahead of me, as she was already in the road), she just kept merrily texting away.... affraid

But what really scares me is the fact I will have to worry about this behavior if I ever finish my project car.

This is what can happen.................

This was posted on another board I frequent.

To sum up, a restoration shop was doing a complete resto on this 1970 Pontiac GTO convertible.  They decided to take it for a test drive once they were far enough along.

As "luck" would have it, a "kid" in a pick-up was not paying attention (OBVIOUSLY) while texting and this was the result:

Not paying attention, texting, high rate of speed and you get that!

Amazingly the body shop has made incredible strides to RE-restore the car.

Texting and driving

Post by Ed in W. PA on Tue Apr 29, 2014 4:05 pm

On January the 9th I was involved in a head-on collision with a young girl on a straight section of highway who claimed she was checking her GPS. Yea, right! My 2011 F-150 was demolished, thanks to the air bags in each vehicle no one was injured. I now drive a F-250 crew cab, about 1200 pounds heavier than the F-150.
