Check out the design of this early set

Post by Dr. Radio on Sun Apr 20, 2014 12:01 pm

This is almost "beautiful" as far as the simplicity, lay-out and compact design.

Just thought I'd share...

Swedish, maybe? I like the bimbo playing with the radio. Smoking a cigarette. Check out that garb! Ooo-La-La! Now there is a hot mama.  Very Happy

They don't make stuff like that anymore.

I have a Philips radio that was designed along similar lines.....a 1931 Philips 1203.

Pic of one of these here; http://www.radiomuseum.org/r/philipsaus_1203.html

Philips was one of the manufacturers that made a radio special to have whether turned on or off. Whether one agrees with the style sense of a particular set, they were made to blend with what a person had in their home at the time.
