Thanks for the links... I remember waiting eagerly for the new Allied catalogs. I would usually first look at the pages with the Hammarlund receivers and dream a bit, then turn to the Knight Kits. I built the Span Master shortwave regenerative receiver first, then the Star Roamer, which, when built well, and with a few little tweaks they mentioned in one of the radio mags at the time... either EI or Popular Electronics... performed well beyond what one might expect from such a circuit. I still have the Star Roamer in my cellar. So, thanks again ! This was a fun trip down memory lane.

If this is the same company that is around I have been buying parts from them. The last order I got a lot of stuff on sale. I sent about 150 bucks on caps but got hundreds of them. You can order online and look for the deals.
