Greg,

Thanks for the invite. Looks like a good bunch here. Can't wait to see if Bill finished that TV yet.

Hey there N7, Mez, Greg, Bill,

Thanks for the nice welcome.

Most of you I recognize from the place that need not be mentioned. Bill, the TV I was talking about was the Admiral? maybe? The one whose thread spanned thousands of posts.

My projects. I have several Arvin radios in need of work. All from the 1936 Rhythm series. A Rhythm Belle 4 tuber that needs going through though the cabinet is mint. A Rhythm Baby that needs a new volume control as it goes from silent to blasting with 120 degree rotation of the volume pot. A Rhythm Queen that has a perfectly restored chassis - not by me - and a cabinet I have been working on for 10 months. This is my Holy Grail of a radio, one I think is as beautiful as the most coveted Zenith.

Also on the bench is a GD Predicta Holiday that I got working perfectly after sweating blood and after a couple of years went Bzzzzzzzzttt! one time after I powered it up. I so hate working on that thing that I have been procrastinating taking out the circuit board for 7 months. It's a gorgeous piece of Jetson 50's machinery when it is running, but I can see why this set bbrought Philco to its knees.

I also share a like of 50's audio and have some great vintage audio stuff that is all working fine. So that's it. My interests are 30's radios, 40's TV's (except for the Predicta) and 50's audio. Looking forward to posting and see you on the forums.

That's the family RCA Victor 6T74. I got it unlocked, and, have been re posting. I intend to finnish it this spring, and, with it, the long thread. It's at the stage of finding bugs.

I restored two Admiral TV's here, but, alas, they both broke down, and, I have had health issues. I also got a basket case RCA ten inch tv radio from 1948 playing again, but, ran into a snag there, my fault.
Need a proper first video I F transformer for it. I accidentally broke it the day before I ended up in the hospital with cellulitis last June. I still haven't found the correct replacement.
Darn. I had such a nice picture on it, too.......
Then, the radio broke down, and, it was all downhill from there. I'm still looking for a replacement transformer for it.
Right now, here, I have a rare Bendix tv on the bench.. See post, and, pictures...
Again, health issues have prevented me from working on it for the last week, but, hope I can soon....
Again, welcome.....
