It was 83 here today with low humidity. I have lots to do outside and the cooler weather and lower humidity is welcome. It will be nice in California, Texas, Florida, Arizona, places like that around Thanksgiving, and colder than a well-digger's butt here. If you think 73 is cold, wait until it is 15 for the high and -10 for the low with 40 mph winds and snow flurries. Now, THAT is COLD!Shocked

Terry, I would go for the 73, a perfect temperature for me. We are up to 85 right now and have the swamp cooler on. At least the humidity has dropped.

Enjoy yourselves folks, a cold contest is one I don't even want to enter! I want to try to do some debris burning this weekend. It is supposed to get down to 80.

What I hate most is when the 'season' changes suddenly.  I don't mind a few cool days, then some warm days, etc.  What I hate is when it goes from 90 to 50, and, less for three months.  The year before last we had an autumn that seemed to last forever.  I got some of my best flower photos because the light was right, that warm glowing afternoon light and that perky morning glow with just a hint of dew.
This is looking to be similar, I hope.

It went from 97 here day before yesterday, went to 87 yesterday to 77 today and the high is going to be 68 tomorrow. It was great here last night so I sat on the porch listening  to my Zenith TO till after 2 in the morning. WSM in Nashville Tn was coming in strong as was several shortwave stations from around the world. Not bad for this part of WV. Now that things are cooling off I should be able to get back into my radio shack soon and get started on the other Zenith that is on the bench.

Man, you guys are wimps!!
Move to Detroit, and suffer the Canadian winters. Lows in -30 F, and, highs -10 F.
Now, That's cold!!
Or, Kalamazoo's winters at -20F at night, and, 10F during day...........
Smile

Funny you should mention Kalamazoo. I lived there 6 years. Also, during those horrible winters I drove an Olds Toronado diesel. Some of the slowest warmups on the road.

Come to think of it, the Ohio Valley is better than a lot of places-

(Except San Francisco of course).

San Francisco? You must like high prices and Peter, Paul and Mary songs. "Blowing in The Wind", "Where Have All The Flowers Gone" and stuff like that. Or seeing old hippies on bicycles puff and pant riding uphill with a banjo on their shoulder.

Now, wait a minuite here! I like Peter, Paul, and, Mary..
"Where have all the flowers gone? Long time passing.
Where have all the flowers gone, long time ago.?
Where have all the flowers gone?
They;ve gone to young girls everyone.
Oh, when will they ever learn??
Oh, when will they ever learn?"

And, I wasn't even a hippy.............

ON the other hand, while never a druggie myself, I also love Rainy day women.
Rockin' record.................

"They stome you when you're tryin' to be so good.. They stone you just like they said they would. They stome you when you're ridin' in your car. Yee Haw! They stone you when you're playin' your guitar.
But, I would not feel so all alone.
Everybody Must  get stoned! Alright!"
