If you buy a new dishwasher Empty If you buy a new dishwasher

Our dishwasher went out yesterday. Labor Day Weekend of all times. We went to our local big box store, 40 miles away. We purchased a Whirlpool dishwasher. The salesperson told me that everything I would need was in there. I could re-use my current electric cord and water line. We got it home and I took the dishwasher out of the box. I got out the instructions and found I needed a part. I drove another 80 mile round trip to another box store to get "the Whirlpool fitting." It cost a whole $4.18, but I had to drive 80 miles to get it. I recommend Whirlpool appliances, but some of their new dishwashers need "the Whirlpool fitting" and it does not come with the dishwasher. You do not know you need it until you unpack the unit and dig out the instructions. Naturally, the folks at the big box store have no idea that it exists. Their excuse is that they only sell them, they do not build them. Nice.

Regards

WC

WC, that sucks big time. If they have their own special fitting, why don't they include it?
