2v Lead Acid Battery

If anyone has a GE model 250 radio that they want to make truly portable, American Science & Surplus Has These radial sealed lead acid batteries on sale to replace those superannuated willard types the radio came with.

Years ago I had bought two original army navy 2 v lead acid batteeries. NOS
Well, they worked, alright, but, the fumes coming out ate everything iin sight, and, the acid ate the lead terminals on top.
Oh, boy.........

It looks like those old willard liquid electrolyte batteries took their toll on some of the 250's, too. These new ones are sealed gel cells and are more like electrolytic caps in regard to leakage.
