Hi Robert,
Nice forum!
I would suggest that members don't post their e-mail addresses on this or any forum. There are spambots out there
that go through websites, including forums looking for e-mail addresses they can use, sell and trade with others.
It would be better to invite the user to click on your e-mail button. E-mails that are behind that button are protected.

Looks like a good start here.

Dave

Thanks for the advise dave, The only reason I posted my email here is it is from the school and it has so many anti-spams and such I can't even receive emails... But like you said, safer than sorry,

Thanks,
Robert

I think that the only place that they can grab email addresses is in the body of posts, not in the preferences location. I may be wrong. In that case, if you use something like 'yourname at whatever dot com', the spammers don't capture it. Again, I may be wrong...

Question/Suggestion, not a complaint...

Post by Dion on Thu May 05, 2011 11:57 pm

I've been a member for a couple of months now, and have been reading and posting pretty regularly. Problem I have is not knowing where to go to find or post specific info. There have been 2 or 3 times I've searched and not found what I was looking for until AFTER I broke down and posted my question... only to find that the info was already out in one of the forums. Any possibility of getting a master table of contents describing what types of info to find and post in each forum? Dion

You have at your fingertips a search function on our forum that you can type in your word, then it will list or show the topic or word you want. At the top section of our forum screen. study

An index would be very tedious to set up and maintain for us Admin types. Sleep lol!
