New Member in Indiana

Post by Jazzyjeff on Wed Jun 05, 2013 9:24 pm

Just signed up for the Tube Radio Forum.
I have a background in Electronics, and Repair, but also have a strong interest in the Antique stuff...
I am an Edison Collector, mostly the windup record players, both cylinder and disc.
Just purchased and Edison C4 radio and Phono combination, and i am hoping to find some help bringing this back to life.
Will follow up as i start to get into my new purchase...
Looking forward to lots of Dialogue.....Jeff

My cousin had a restaurant in South Bend called; "Mezzoni's Italian Eatery" Have you ever been there? My cousin passed away a few years ago and I don't know what's become of the restaurant.

Welcome Jeff!
I have a Aunt who played for the South Bend Ladies softball team and worked for Bendix. Love the Studebaker Museum! I have a EW-W just about 5 or 6 serial numbers away from the record setting car 25,000 miles in 23,000 minutes or averaging 65 miles an hour.

Thanks guys...
I have not been to the Restaraunt you mentioned.
Looked up it's location, and i don't think it is there anymore...
I enjoy the Studebaker History, and had family that worked there in the past...
almost all of the buildings are gone now...
Big project by the city...
I work for South Bend Schools, and our old offices were in the old Studebaker Admin Building...
It sits empty now...
Thanks ....Jeff

Welcome and good luck! My family had a summer house in Sturgis, MI and South Bend, Mishawaka and Elkhart were places we visited frequently.

Osceola, northern Indiana----the home of a radio buddy who supplied me with my Philco 38-1 cabinet.  I'm forever grateful.

I remember the 40's Studies...couldn't tell if they were coming or going Cool
