Something strange happened Empty Something strange happened

A friend of mine emailed me a copuple of website links pertaining to car shows in my area. I got on one site and "Little Deuce Coupe" started playing. That is not terribly unusual for car show websites. The thing is, it wouldn't STOP playing. No matter what I did. There was no way to stop it on the site where it started. It continued to play on this and any other site I went to. I could select a song on Windows Media Player, the song would play, but it would play right along with "Little Deuce Coupe". My Trend Micro security system did not flag this site as having a potential problem, and there are no threats listed in Trend Micro. I shut my computer down, restarted it, then deleted the email link my friend had sent. So far, no "Little Deuce Coupe." Okay, you computer guru dudes, what happened? Do I have some Trojan horse, malware, spyware, virus type thing, or am I just too stupid to run my computer? If the latter is the problem, do not hesitate to tell me so. You would not tell me something I am not already well aware of!

Regards

WC

It was probably playing through a hidden player embedded in the site or was attached to an image or something on the site. Some sites have BG music but usually you can shut it off. It should of stopped playing as soon as you closed the site/browser. I highly doubt it was malware, spyware or a virus. Most browsers will alert you of the potential threat as would most antivirus programs.
