One of the true genius minds...

Whenever I get those "who would you invite to dinner if you could choose from anyone in history" I usually answer "Jonathon Winters, Robin Williams, George Carlin and Ernie Kovacs.

You forgot Ernest Borgnine, and, someone else who's name is slipping me. He made several excellent comedies, and, played the side kick, Barney Fife on the Andy Griffith show.
RIP, Johnathan. Hope to hear your funny jokes someday , in person.

Don Knotts, Bill. DB, that would be one heck of a dinner! With all of the lousy channels on cable, I wish that they would start one that would show all the great variety shows that only have clips shown, such as The Andy Williams Show, The Judy Garland Show, The Hollywood Palace, Among others, I'm sure you all could come up with.

I remember years ago watching some sort of show on his career. They were interviewing him about the early days and I'll never forget this great one (this supposedly really happened)...

Mr. Winters was visiting with either a friend's parent or extended family member early on in his career.... He was asked "What is it you do for a living?"

He replied "Well I'm in television".

The person then replied, "Well that's great, there's a Zenith in the other room you can take a look at..." lol!

RIP Mr. Winters.
