Cobramatic tonearm setting down too soon

Post by PhonoBrit on Mon Apr 08, 2013 3:20 pm

This cobramatic unit http://i.imgur.com/Kd7qlf4.jpg tonearm is setting down just before it should on the 7" setting. How do I adjust the arm to set down on the records edge?

Thanks!

Ok, the manual pointed me in the right direction for the adjustment screw, so that is all fixed now. However, I need to remove the platter and can't see any clip holding the platter in place. Am I missing something here?

Looks the same as mine try a few tiny dabs of thin oil around the spindle shaft let it soak and try prying up evenly around the edges of the platter...

Make sure when you pull the platter off that your careful with the tip of the spindle as they snap off easily.

They look ok-ish, lubed the motor and testing for speed variance right now.

Thanks, looks like the needle isn't replaceable and that the entire cartridge must be swapped out.
