Static Empty Static

Post by Motorola man on Thu Mar 14, 2013 8:35 pm

I was listening to some music with headphones on while doing the laundry this evening. I pulled some of my wife's sweaters out of the dryer and began to fold them. There was so much static cling that it was arcing to the headphone cable. The speakers started popping and it traveled all the way up to the metal band and zapped me on the top of the head a few times. I guess that next time I need to throw one of those talking teddy bears from the tv commercials into the dryer.

I used to test high voltage power supplies and static drives me nuts. Here is a recipe I used a while back with pretty good results.
