Happy New Year everybody. Ron, where are you where it is nearly 108 degrees F? It is not nearly that warm here in sunny AZ in the desert.

Happy New Year! Everytime it gets sunny here, it gets cold, when the wind blows from the south, it gets cold. Wet warms things up a bit. We had some freeze dried rain blowing about here a couple of days ago.

HNY to all of you. Hoping I can finally quit smoking this year. But not tonight with some bourbon & Cokes and Budweisers.

And now...Auld Lang Syne as only Jimi Hendrix could play it back 43 yrs ago tonight. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FoYByftSnAU

WC, I live in Perth Western Australia. It's normally pretty warm this time of the year here but at present, we are going through the hottest prolonged spell in 70 years, according to the weather bureau.

Cool change today, it will be a balmy 33°C ( 91°F ) here.

Incidentally Perth's hottest day ever was 46.2°C ( 115.2°F ) on 23 Feb 1991. Our swimming pool went from clear to green by the end of that day....ideal temp for exponential algae growth, apparently.

Be sure to put up a pic or 2 of the phonograph. I've never seen a junky cylinder type.

When I get it I'll post a thread on it with pictures. It hasn't been mailed yet. He's mailing it tommorrow.
May have it this weekend.

The reason it's junky is it's worn, and, is missing parts. I intend to restore it for my collection.

It's kind of funny, I've seen quite a few cylinder players over the years, but never one in truly derelict condition with rust, significant damage, ruined housings, etc. Disc phonographs, radios, even televisions, but not cylinder players. I guess they were first in line for the antique treatment.

This will be my fourth Edison for this collection that I will bbe resurecting. My first one in this collection is my model B Home. Second was my Standard B. Third was my Fireside A.
Now, the Gem B.

The other machines I didn't have to totally rebuild are my two Min. Ed. Home B, my Amberola30, and, my Amberola 3.

I'm proud to have them all.............
