Christmas Decorations Empty Christmas Decorations

Post by Guest on Wed Dec 19, 2012 9:50 am

I thought we might share our holiday decorations. I used the word "holiday" in place of "Christmas" so as to not leave anyone out. I've been getting the farm house ready for our Christmas get together with my two daughters and their husbands. I can't wait to see my grandson on Friday!

Thanks Bill, I wish I could come down to visit and help, it's not all that far. Maybe someday!

Nicely decorated tree with some - what looks to be old or antique - glass ornaments. What year was the farmhouse built ?

BTW - we didn't put a tree up this year, we were afraid that cat would play with it too much. Sad

I have many antique ornament which belonged to my grandmother and they are not on the tree. I'll have to wait until the grandson gets a bit older to put them on. There are many "replica" ornaments on the tree.

The main portion of the house is pre-civil war, the addition was around 1910 as far as I can tell.

Excellent decorating and a very festive Christmas spirit. The tree looks to be in a nice place, and out f the way. Everything reminds me of long ago.

Love the tree, and, the house. Do you use that phone? I like the phone table. Are the books antique?
I only have one antique phone book, but, I use dial phones around the house.
My oldest connected one is my 1957 WE.
I have a nice 1965 WE beige dial phone in the kitchen with the rare volume control for hearing impaired people.
My 1964 Yellow WE wall rotary phone is presently out of order, and, I'm still looking for one for the shop. I have a light blue one in my Err, music room.

Thanks Bill
The phone is a display only at this time, but I may decide to connect it to my key system. The telephone table belonged to my grandmother and the chair was destroyed years ago. The phone books are current ones.

I have a holly surround for my porch and put up lights on the shrubs. It's 8 light strings.
