8A02

Post by lmar701 on Wed Dec 05, 2012 9:16 pm

HI
Larry here. Im lookin to extract the experience from the veteran radio guys on this forum to get my mom's Zeinith 8A02 working again. Mom can remember when her dad bougt it and brought it home. The day AFTER it came home, she sat with her sister and her parents listening to the reports on the Pearl Harbor bombing. I remember listening to overseas shortwave on this radio when I was a kid . sure would like mom ( turns 81 in Feb.) to be able to listen to it again. Ive been tryin to get to this project for nearly 20 years, never found the timem I had a mild stroke recently and will not be returning to work for several months. Looks like I just found the time! Im hoping to have it done by her birthday.

Welcome to the forums. If you will post this discussion on the radio in the correct forum on antique radios, I know we can all help you here, and, give you hints on what to do to properly restore the radio.
If possible, please post pictures. They always help.
Thanks. In fact, I'll move it for you. Enjoy your stay, and, hope you keep coming back.
Bill Cahill Very Happy
