Don't forget to set your clocks back to standard time tonight (2AM Saturday).

Also, remember to change the batteries in your smoke detectors.

Besides, I never like DST. I prefer the normal way.

I always thought they should move it to the middle of the two times and let it stay. In other words if this time yesterday was 9 am and today its 8 am then move it to 8:30 am and leave it like that. I may be mistaken but when I lived in AZ as a kid it didn't change.

Arizona didn't change way back and I think they still don't. When we wrote software to automatically change the time in phone systems, Arizona complained. We had to make time change optional.

I think that it is especially good for the farmers. Since they don't work very hard it gives them something extra to deal with. Now they can juggle children's school schedules, market opening times, delivery schedules-stuff like that.

Oh wait, did I say farmers- I meant stock brokers.

I wish we could stay on DST all year, but I'm an early riser anyway! Smile

I remembered to turn back all of the clocks except the clock radio next to the bed. Imagine my surprise when I got up an hour late. Funny, it didn't seem like I slept an extra hour.

You should have been up an hour earlier if you didn't turn your clock back! Wink

Well, time is relative isn't it? We got up at 9, which now is actually 8-so we gained an hour by losing one. Arrow HUH?

Seriously though- I walk my dog after dinner, which is between 6 and 7. In our old neighborhood it wasn't a problem because the area is well lit. This neighborhood is a lot different. We used to walk in the alleys. Not any more. And even walking down the street is hard, even dangerous because it is mostly in shadow and the sidewalks are not in great shape. Time for a good flashlight-one that makes a good weapon too I guess. Suspect

I always use my time wisely!! In the spring I wait until Sunday at 11AM to move the clocks ahead. Instant beer time!! In the fall I wait until Sunday around 2pm, gives me an extra hour of cocktail hour!!

I tend to stick with dumb clocks that don't automatically change time. I live in Arizona and as mentioned above we don't change time. Well, almost. If your on an Indian Reservation, most of them do. Makes things a little confusing. Most of the older clocks of the type that use WWV for time adjustment don't have an "Arizona" time zone or a way to turn off switch to to adjust for the hourly shift twice a year. Bummer. So, on my weather station and clock, when the time change comes, I have to change the time zone to adjust. Love my old clocks, just wind them.
