More Fun Than Radios! Empty More Fun Than Radios!

Post by Guest on Sun Oct 21, 2012 3:00 pm

Last night I had my oldest daughter, her husband, and my grandson stay overnight, they live 3 hours away in Williamsburg. My grandson is only two and a half but has endless energy and loves trucks, trains and cars. Well, he has plenty of all three here. I know I'm jumping the gun, but I'm already planning some projects for he and I to do together when he's old enough. I can't wait till it's time to intruduce him to "Gramp's Radio Shack" and help him build his first Crystal Radio.

I'm sure there are many other "Gramps" here, what is your story? Smile

Here's mine from last June. My 4 year old grandson helping me take apart some dead computer hard drives for the platters and magnets. He's slowly getting to know his way around some hand tools.

I should have posted pictures of my grandson.

I hope, when he's old enough, he will be interested in radios and learns from "Gramps"

My wife says something about grandkids and I tell her our will purr and catch mice. Our daughter is more concerned with her college than getting married. No complaints here.

Hey ve1arn you mentioned you took out the platters in the drives. What do you use them for? I have hundreds of them just waiting for a new project. I plan to use them to scare off things in the garden but I am open to other ideas.
