Blue Striper R-390As Gotta Love'em
Hi Everyone,
Well since getting that Stewart Warner R-390A at the Feeding Hills, Mass Amateur radio meet, Ive been hard bitten by the Boat Anchor Bug again. The S-W is too nice to really go ahead and fully restore. Instead, I have picked up a number of sorry looking, filthy, and abused R-390A's, popularly referred to as Blue Stripers. These are yellow, guess they ran out of blue spray paint, hehe. Take a look and enjoy. These are gonna be a major amount of labor, blood, sweat , tears and some cash to bring back to their former glory. Some have denigrated these poor souls as not worth having because of the hardships they have endured. I say BALONEY!!!, they are well worth rescuing. Consider them like barn fresh classic cars, diamonds in the rough, patiently waiting to be restored back to full operation and beauty. Check out my site:

P.S. as of this post only one of the receiver photos ( Number 3176) has a link that works to show its disassembly in this section of the website. It's a work in progress type deal. Gets better all the time.
