Cat care suggestions. Empty Cat care suggestions.

Here are a couple of suggestions for cat care- And I'm sure there are many more.

I've always had a problem with my cat leaving a trail of kitty litter out of the box. A piece of carpet does the trick. He had always thrown litter out of the box as he covered his 'business'. I used an old portable file cabinet with high sides. And finally the scratching. He used to scratch on the rug, the couch, chairs and the dog. Neutral

I found something at my vet that is nothing less than a miracle. It is is piece of honeycombed cardboard. To entice him to start using it I spread a little catnip on it. Now it is the only place he scratches.

P.S. Is there any way to post photos from a computer?

I heard its not a very good idea to use carpet or any material for a tack post for cats because its to much like all of your furniture. A piece of tree trunk with bark was suggested

I really love cats!

How in the heck do you upload a photo? I've tried "image" and "host an image".

Here are photos.

As you can see the carpet is in front of the cat box. Litter gets wiped off of the cats feet

The second photo is the scratch pad.

They are both links of photos of the cat box. Geez. But if you look to the right you should be able to see the scratch pad.

Please let me know if you can see what I'm talking about.

I embed my photos from ImageShack. It has been pretty easy and it even resizes the uploads to be compatible with forums. Also, have you seen those Emery Cat things that has the catnip in corrugated material with abrasive that help keep the claws trim?

Terry. Imageshack.com is free and pretty simple to use. It will generate the html code you need to post pictures on a forum.

Thanks Chris. Finding a place to land my photos on the internet isn't a problem. I've used Photobucket but I already have about 100 images on Myspace available by "Copy image location" which provides that code. I'm trying to post a photo inside the subject box. In the above comments I posted a 'link' to where my photos are in Myspace.

So my question is: How do I post a photo inside a subject box, like this one, on this forum?

Others correct me if I am wrong but Terry would need to cut and paste the html code for the picture.

Right- Looks good. I'm usually pretty smart but obviously I'm missing a crucial step. I go to my photo which is already on the web, right click and choose "copy image location". Then I click on the "Image" button above this dialogue box, then paste and I see that my url is between [img]and [img]- and then I go to preview to see my photo and nothing happens. Obviously I'm missing how to insert that [img]url[img] into the dialogue box.

Try putting a pic or two up on ImageShack. They are really easy to post.

I'm sure it is a great site and easy to load photos, but why is that different from any other web hosting site like Photobucket or Myspace?
I don't think web hosting is my problem.
I think that my problem is at the other, (this), end. How do I get a photo from any hosting site, Myspace, Photobucket, Imageshack, Imogene, Imagine, whatever, into this dialogue box?
(I'm sorry- no disrespect intended, just frustration. Is it that the Imageshack stores photos in a different format than jpg and this site doesn't recognize jpg?)

I used photo bucket for about 6 months and found it to be a coin toss as to whether I could get an image to post on a given site, so I can appreciate your frustration. ImageShack stores my images in jpg format. And with it, you just select an image, right click on it, select 'view image' from the window, and another screen with that image will come on. To the right of that screen there are two links shown, to either share the image or to embed the image. Click the embed link. one more small window with a selection of links including one for forums. Left click that one to highlight, right click and right click copy. You can leave the site, compose your thread here then right click and paste. Check the result with preview. I think the difference is possibly that the image might be in a compatible size.

Okay, I uploaded a re- sized image, about 600 pixles on Image shack. I right clicked on that image and a drop down box appeared that said:
Copy image
Copy image location
save image as
Set as desktop
View image info
Inspect element

I give up. To heck with it. Imageshack sent an email to create an account using my email address. When I went to log in using my email address it asked for a password. I clicked on "forgot my password". It wouldn't accept my current email address, (which it just used). It only recognized my old email address and wouldn't let me access using my new address.

Trying to post a photo just doesn't seem to work for me. So I won't. Thanks for all the suggestions.
