Looking for an onoff volme pot for Philco 38-15

Post by Ben Delk on Sun Jul 08, 2012 5:43 pm

Recently purchases a Philco 38-15cs for restoration. I have rebuilt the chassis but the on\off volume control pot was acting flaky so I took it apart to cleam and found have the graphite contact run missing. This did not surprised since the Bakelite cap (.01, .01) housing and a 12 mfr electro cap were blown into pieces. Iím looking for a source to replace the control. If you know where I might find one or even a good replacement I would certainly appreciate it.

Here are the numbers old control:
33-5230-2
7-203W

The schematic shows it as a .5 meg, and the speaker is a Philco S19, audio output 2 watts
