Did you click on the picture when you got there? If not, it won't show. You must go to the picture with the video camer pic., and, click on the picture. It works. I've tried it, and, someone else tried it.

Heh. I don't get it. It works for me. Let me send you another link. I'll take you directly to my Facebook page, and, you can click directly on the first picture, which has a picture of a video camera above it. It will play then. Be right back.
Here you go. I was wong on it showing a vid. camera, but, it's simple to recognize by the pointer in the middle of the photo. Just click on that.

Enjoy.

That link goes to 4 jpg images, 0002 through 0005. None has the start arrow. Maybe it's because I'm not a photobucket member. Don't sweat it. I know it has to be sounding great.

I still have to order a repro grill for it, and, have a little more cleanning to do, but, I'm calling this machine a success. I'm glad it turned out so well...
For information purposes, I believe the reproducer I have on it is called the Dance reproducer. Puts out more volume, but, adds alot of weitht to record.
This is now one of my most favorite machines. I'm blessed that I have friends that helped make this possible..
Thank you...... Very Happy

Well, it's several weeks later, and, I've done a little more case work. It's a little cleanner, and, stronger. No grill, yet, but, I'm sure enjoying playing records on it.
Again, thanks for your help to get it.
I'll let you guys know when I'm able to get a grill for it.

Well, for the first time in manny, manny years, I located, cleanned, and, played a favorite DD record on it that was one of the records I received with it when I bought the machine in Detroit from Bailey Teeters when I was a teen ager.
"Waltz memories" on the early black label.
I used to play it alot on that machine manny years ago. It was great just listenning to it on it again...
This machine is equally as good at playing electrically recorded Diamond Discs.
Excellent volume, and, deep, deep bass.
It actually sounds better than most Victor Orthophonics, with exception of the big ones, like the Credenza.

Further notes. Spent more time cleanning the case. I also loosenned up grime in oil tubes a few weeks ago. Tonight, I put alot of synthetic non gumming oil in it tonight, and, that improved power of motor alot. Still have a couple of issues, but, the more I use it, the better it runs. It is a very nice machine, and, I'm most happy with it.......... Very Happy

Well, I've only to clean bottom parts of legs, bottom shelf, side rails, and, a little in the back. Still have to get a repro. grill.
As a whole, it came out well.
I have front, and, both sides, as well as inside looking pretty decent.
Not able to rid it of all alligatoring, but, have it down alo, and, in several areas, it's almost like new.
I also must say that the Edisonic reproducer adds alot to both the tone, and, the volume. I found out at a nother forum that the so called Dance reproducer I have on it is atcually an Edisonic add on sold in 1928 to update your early machines.
The reproducer sounds wonderful to me.

Ben, a special thank you for your help, and, thanks to all.
I've been doing more cleanning, and, main case now looks really good.
Still have to work on bottom half, and, don't have the money to buy a grill, yet.
I've been playing it alot, and, enjoying it the most I've enjoyed it in fourty years, or, more!
I'm going to enjoy this machine forever.
I'll post pics when I get a chance.
Thanks, everyone!
I call this machine LOVED!
It plays great. You should hear electrically recorded records on it.
WOW!!!!!
One fav of mine is
"Woman disputed, I love you".
Keeps playing in my head..........

Re: Edison Model A150 Diamond Disc machine The cabinet arrived.......

Post by Bill Cahill on Wed May 15, 2013 8:13 pm

Cabinet took a step backwards today. Remember I told you I still had a bit of a rocking issue? Well, I couldn't seem to find the problem. Today I did.
The hard way..........
Went to wind it up to play a record, and, suddenly, heard a loud crash. My entire stack of DD records on shelf fell on the floor.
Upon examination, I found that the one corner had fallen apart. That's part of one of my repairs.
I thought, "great! Now, the joint broke again!!"
Later today I took machine entirely apart, and, turned case upside down.
Found problem, and, it's minor.
Apparently, that one joint didn't have enough glue. There may also be other joints the same way. I'll have to re glue it. Nothing broke. Just not enough glue.
This time, I'll spend more time on it, and, since the legs are up, I'll do the cleanning on those while machine is upside down, and, apart.
At least this time it's an easy repair/
