RCA VICTOR SHC-9 ORTHO HI-FI

Post by OIF8790 on Mon Mar 26, 2012 9:01 pm

I am an Iraqi war veteran who has returned stateside to fire up my RCA Victor Victrola SHC-9 (4-Speed)ORTHRO HI-FI and found that it no longer works (it did previously.) The radio works fine, so it is not a sound issue. I believe that it needs a new needle because when I put the record on; music will play indistinctly. Where and how do I obtain a new needle (and do I need a certain kind because it is a 4-speed?) Thanks for your help! - Josh

First thing make sure the needle is clean and hasn't collected dust because that can cause sound problems when playing records. There are some web sights that you can go to for needles. Try typing in the google search box record needles.
