A good way to clean the drum contacts on ST tuners
On the Sarkes Tarzian televison tuners commonly found on Admiral, Emerson, and, other tv's, I use a rubber pencil eraser, best type is the big square erasers.
I rub it accross the connectors on the drum.
This saves alot of other type of work.
A good contact cleanner is reccommended for the fingers, and, to lubricate the connectors on the drum.

If you can find one an old-fashioned manual typewriter eraser also works excellently. These are the kind of erasers that you "sharpened" in a pencil sharpener when you needed a new surface.

Agree...erasers have a mild abrasive that can shine just about anything (including pennies). You can get the pencil sharpener types at Hobby Lobby.
