I heard "The DX Pirate" they were talking about AM DX and played a few odd songs. They gave an e mail address for signal reports. I wrote a note to tell them I could hear then here at about S-8.
They sent me a pretty cool " E Mail QSL card."

Hi sprman,
Whats the status on that stretch below 7000? I heard once that it was going to be given to amateur radio and again that it was going to SWBC? Do you know?

Adios,
Bill

Have not heard anything of yet.60meter ham band does have some activity on it.Below 7mhz not heard a thing as of yet.Takes a good while for them to get around to doing anything.ITU meetings ect ect. Have to google and see what comes up.A side note FCC has not done anything on new 700mhz band plan yet.Google that and you see .Sprman : )

I heard one a few nights ago. It was just below 40 meters (6.9??) I should have written down the frequency because every year older I become, my memory looses a few Kb.
It was on USB and playing George Carlin and ID as "Really Ridiculous Radio." The male announcer spoke a bit about the evolution of comedy and proceeded to play old Abbott and Costello. The signal wasn't very good here with a lot of fading and was about 50-60% copy on my 160 meter dipole (run north and south) I could not receive them on my 225 ft. random wire (run east and west).
