Good on you for rescuing an abuse case. My sister adopted an abused male dog
Weird thing is that I am physically similar to the bastard that abused him and he gets very conflicted when I show up. Love and fear. Running uop to me and running away. Thankfully, it only lasts until he gets a good whiff and realizes I am a buddy.
