speaker source?
Does anyone know of a source for 4" speaker cones? I have found 5" but not 4".
I have also found some very reasonable 4" speakers but how do I determine the wattage I need say for a 50's table radio?
Thanks....Bill

Re: speaker source?
Most table radios will be less than 4 watts.
Are you just wanting the cones?
Or speakers?

Re: speaker source?
Actually both. I have quite a few 4" speakers that I wanted to try reconning since the cones are so cheap. I figure if I screw it up I'm not out anything except time. Electronix.com has 5" cones for .39 but no 4". So if I can't find 4" cones they have a 4ohm 5watt speaker for 1.95. Can't beat that price if they work OK in a small 50's table radio. I'll probably go ahead and try a 5" cone on a badly damaged 5" speaker I have and see if that works.

Re: speaker source?
I ordered a couple 4" from electronix last week so I'll see how they work. Thanks for the offer.

Re: speaker source?
Antiqueradiobuff;
I might be interested in those speakers. I need one that has a square frame, for replacement in a Motorola 55x12, @ 4-3/32" square, and another for a Philco. The Motorola speaker supports the slide rule tuning apparatus, which is why the shape and size are critical.
Please advise by PM.
