Another noob introduction...

Hi all! My name is Dion, and I live in Oregon, USA. I'm brand new to this site, and to antique radio restoration. I've already found some really useful information links here, so thank you very much for all of your helpful posts! My background: I grew up without much money, and didn't mind that my "toys" were mostly old broken appliances and radios. I took electronics and auto tech vocational classes in high school, and electronics technology in junior college. I am an equipment engineer for a large semiconductor company, and enjoy tinkering and repairing pretty much anything in my off-hours. I need to brush up on my radio theory; it's just been too long since I studied the subject. I've seen some books recommended here on this site; I'll be purchasing some soon. I'm looking forward to learning enough to be able to post useful replies to the questions of others.
