WHAT MAKES A RADIO PLAY LOWER BANDS GOOD SOMETIMES . THEN UPPER BANDS SOMETIMES .
NOT BOTH AT SAME TIME. Rolling Eyes

Depends on time of day or night.Propogation can make the high bands good during the day and once the sun sets the low freqs can work well.Sunspots have some affect on how the bands are as do other factors.Google shortwave propogation to see what all affects the bands.Sprman.: )

You could be having trouble with the bandswitch.It could be dirty,try cleaning it a few times .Sprman: )
