How warm would one feel the 80 recitefier tube is beside it. Philco model 111.

Well they will get warm ,but never so hot you cant kep your hand on it.I use a variac on mine and set the AC voltage to 110 volts .Helps the tranny run a bit cooler and it does reduce sensitivity a bit.Most sets wee built to run off 115 ac not 120 or higher.Sprman. : )
