PHILCO MODEL 111
I put new resitors all new caps some new tubes and power cord . Some reason keeps blowing electrolytic cap .
The one in big condenser block from #3terminal to #10 terminal The cap is a 4,7uf@450 volts .Has another one from #3 to#9
it works fine. Radio still plays but still has the hum. because of the electrolytic cap keeps blowing. help.

if it blows,Reverse the (+ )
and ( - ) leads ,
as it sounds like you have wired it backwards.
Make sure of the polarity.

Thanks for response was wondering if anybody going to. Ifound problem had polarity right wrong cap .
Had a 4.7uf replaced with a 33 mfd @450 volts . Working good for a 80 year old radio.
