Arvin radio 5 tuber low volume

Hello,
I just got an Arvin, classic 5 tube radio. I recapped the electrolytics and it played well for a couple of hours until, the volume started distorting and cutting down. It is now that when the volume control is all the way up, I can barely hear it. I have replaced all tubes but still no improvement. Any advise would be helpful.

Did you replace the other paper capacitors?
If not, they are likely the culprit.
